Lomandra confertifolia subsp. pallida

Lime Tuff, the name given to a select form of Lomandra confertifolia subsp. pallida. It is a hardy evergreen plant with long arching lime green foliage which remains very clean and tidy. It is suited to wide range of climates from the coast to inland and is frost hardy and survives coastal summer humidity. When planting in humid coastal conditions space the plants out enough to keep good air circulation around the plants. A good spacing rate would be 2 to 3 per m2.

Grows 70 to 90 cm tall by about the same wide

Flowers and Fruit

Late winter through to spring with scented flowers borne among the foliage.

Aspect

Prefers full sun to partial shaded aspects, both inland and coastal climates

Soil Type

A wide range, loam, clay loam & free draining clay. Avoid planting in poorly drained soils.

Maintenance

Trim to keep tidy as needed and then every 3 to 4 years give it a good trim to half the foliage height in spring.
