Gazania tomentosa |
Gazania species are native to South Africa and are well suited to our Australian climate. The Silver Leaf Gazania with its soft silver foliage makes an ideal low maintenance ground cover plant. The foliage is a great contrast with green leafed plants and adds a real highlight with its texture. The bright yellow daisy-like flowers provide a splash of colour through spring, summer and autumn each year. It is a very low maintenance plant and can grow in the poorest of soils from frontline coastal exposure aspects to hot dry inland climates. Given better soils conditions it will reward you with exceptional splendour.
