Murraya paniculata

Murraya paniculata belong to the same plant family as citrus and this is why they are commonly called ‘Mock Orange’ or ‘Orange Jasmine’. They make great hedges and respond well to pruning. To maintain Murraya as a hedge prune to shape 3 to 4 times a year with the last pruning in late autumn. If they start getting too large simply cut them back heavily and they will re-shoot again with fresh foliage. Murraya grow best in warm climates from the South Coast NSW to Queensland. In cooler climates such as Melbourne and frosty inland regions consider planting something like Viburnum tinus instead.
