Pinky Pink™ Crepe Myrtle – Lagerstroemia
Pinky Pink™ Crepe Myrtle – Lagerstroemia
Gorgeous pink flowers, burgundy foliage and all the beauty of a crepe myrtle in a compact little shrub.
Love crepe myrtles but don't have room for a tree?
Meet Pinky Pink™.
With gorgeous fuchsia-pink flowers, rich burgundy foliage and a naturally compact growth habit, Pinky Pink™ brings all that lovely crepe myrtle colour to smaller gardens without taking over the place.
Growing to approximately 1.2 metres tall, it's a beautiful choice for sunny garden borders, courtyard beds, cottage gardens and smaller front yards.
And while many crepe myrtles put on their biggest show through summer, Pinky Pink™ saves its flowers for early autumn, bringing a welcome burst of colour as the seasons begin to change.
It's also a hardy little character. Ozbreed describes Pinky Pink™ as tolerant of drought, humidity and frost, making it a great option for a range of Australian gardens once established.

How to grow Pinky Pink™ Crepe Myrtle
Plant in a sunny position with soil that drains reasonably well.
Water regularly during establishment, particularly throughout the first 13 weeks and during its first summer. Once established, Pinky Pink™ is more tolerant of dry conditions, although it will still appreciate additional water during prolonged hot weather.
Apply mulch around the base to help conserve soil moisture, keeping it clear of the stems.
A light annual prune can help maintain a dense, tidy shape. If you'd prefer a smaller shrub, Pinky Pink™ can be maintained at approximately 60cm with more substantial pruning.
Apply a suitable slow-release fertiliser in spring according to the manufacturer's directions.
What will you receive?
Your Pinky Pink™ will arrive as a healthy young plant in a 50mm nursery tube, ready to establish in your garden.
You're purchasing young tubestock, not a mature flowering shrub. The photographs show how the variety looks as it develops, and flowering will depend on plant maturity, climate and growing conditions.
Big colour. Small garden. No need to sacrifice half the backyard.
Add Pinky Pink™ to your garden and enjoy a beautiful burst of colour when autumn arrives.
